The first thing to do is find yourself. When I say find yourself I don't necessarily mean travel the world and try every drink, drug, or crazy experience offered-- (unless you really want to), I mean try things you may not usually, even if it means going against the cool crowd. If you are usually glued to your cell phone, try putting it down and picking up a paint brush, go for a hike, go to a local farmers market, JUST GET OUT THERE AND FIND WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY.
After you've found a few hobbies and things you enjoy doing try to branch out and find people interested in doing those same things, maybe join a club at your local community center, or even a group on Facebook; the most important thing being, that when you are with these people you feel comfortable and safe.
Once you have figured out what makes you happy, and you've found some cool people to do those things with, you need to block out the dark energy! Not demons or ghosts, but the people who make you feel negatively about yourself, or the things that take your joy; this will be a hard step because sometimes those people can be parents, siblings, friends, significant others and people that we generally love. When you are ready to block out this energy be careful how you do so; you may feel like you do not need these people in your life, and that is completely normal, but you do not want to burn a sturdy bridge. Try having a sit down talk with these important people and telling them exactly how their actions make you feel, even if they have a bad reaction; a bad reaction can be a real eye opener as far is if you feel they deserve to have a place in your life.
If the dark energy is coming from someone who is not close to you, it can be much easier to block out; the most important thing to remember is that you have the right to be an individual. Nobody came out of their mothers womb with highlighter and contouring, we are not all made to be one body type, we do not all love the same way, and do not all enjoy the same things. It's okay to be an individual and no one should feel ashamed of their interests, or be afraid to express themselves freely.
