How To Make Your $30 Makeup Like $350 Makeup

Hello again beautiful souls, and welcome back to The Dailey Dose! Thank you all for your continual support and good vibes during our few days of technical difficulties, to reward you for your awesome-ness I have spent the past few days scouring the YouTube beauty community looking for all of the best drugstore dupes and products! If you want the secrets of all of your favorite beauty guru's, just keep reading and soon you will be flawless, without killing the bank

Foundation:

Please try to keep in mind that not all foundations suit every skin tone, and tried to gather information based on different skin tone variety, as well as different skin types.

  • NARS Sheer Glow Foundation vs Neutrogena Healthy Skin Liquid Foundation

PRICE:$45.00 vs $13.99
According to the wonderful beauty guru ThatsHeart, the Healthy Skin Liquid Foundation by Neutrogena is an extremely close dupe for NARS Sheer Glow Foundation, especially for when you want a soft dewy look which is nice in the summer heat, when you don't want full coverage foundation. If you want to see how see ThatsHeart uses and compares the two foundations, scroll below, where all links will be located.

  • Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation vs Covergirl 3-in-1 Foundation
PRICE: $39.50 vs $9.00
Starting off with the pros and cons according to the lovely Amy Macedo, the Estee Lauder foundation is a more full coverage foundation compared to the Covergirl foundation, they are both matte finish, but aren't super matte like other foundations can be, causing the nasty dry feeling; she also explained that the Estee Lauder Foundation lasted about 3-4 hours longer than the Covergirl 3-in-1.

  • Kat Von D Lock-It Tattoo Foundation vs Rimmel London Stay Matte Liquid Moose
PRICE: $35.00 vs $4.99
I have to give it to Amy Macedo once again, she is the queen of trying and comparing drugstore beauty products, her link will be listed at the bottom of the article! Both of these foundations give you a nice smooth, matte, stay-in-place, kind of finish, which is very nice, Amy recommends using a setting spray or face primer while using these foundations while using these foundations, just to blur any imperfections, and give you a smooth surface to work with. Kat Von D Lock-It Tattoo has a very broad range in skin tone selections, where as the Rimmel London Stay Matte Foundation only goes to a deep tan color, which isn't very beneficial to souls with deeper complexions.

Face/ Eye Primers and Illuminators

Priming your face/ eyes is an important step in doing makeup that you really want to stick all day, it provides a smooth, even base helping apply foundation, and eye-shadow seamlessly.

  • Urban Decay Primer Potion Original vs Wet n' Wild Photo Focus Eye Shadow Primer
PRICE: $10.00 ON SALE LINK BELOW vs $5.00
This awesome dupe for everyone's favorite eye shadow primer came from Tati a fabulous beauty guru homegrown right on YouTube, who claims that they do exactly the same for $20 less! So next time instead of saving up and going to your local Sephora, take your change jar and go to CVS!

  • Becca Cosmetics Shimmering Skin Perfector in Champagne Pop vs L'Oreal Liquid Glow Illuminator
PRICE: $19.00 vs $12.00
The highlighted, dewy look is very in-style right now and wearing an illuminator under your foundation is a great way to get that awesome glowy look that every girl hopes for. These two are just about the same consistency and a bit different in color, the price definitely makes up for it.  Check out ThatsHeart video link below to see a full comparison between these two awesome illuminators.

  •  E.L.F. Eye Shadow Primer
PRICE:$2.00
This one is my own personal favorite, for many reasons; it's a bit thinner than Urban Decay's Primer Potion (which I love), making it a little bit easier to work into my dry skin. Plus at the cost, you can stock up, and never run out--cue evil laugh.

  • Nivea Men's Post Shave Balm vs Alternative Face Primers
PRICE: $6.50 vs $10-$60
This trend has been taken over by so many beauty guru's that I can not possibly list all of them. The trick is to work the after shave into your skin until it's just a bit tacky (best way of describing), and letting it set for just a few seconds, then apply your foundation like a pro!

Highlighters

  • Laura Mercier Highlighter vs E.L.F. Highlighter
PRICE: $44.00 vs $3.00
Highlighter is amazing for bringing features forward and highlighting the parts of your face that you love, when used with contouring highlighting can help make things a bit brighter and pop more. When you highlight a great brand is cool, but it's not a necessity, making this dupe perfect, a little shimmer goes a long way.

Eye Liner

  • Revlon ColorStay Liquid Eyeliner vs Kat Von D Tattoo Liner
PRICE: $8.99 vs $19.00
When used with the right products ThatsHeart says that you can make the Revlon Colorstay liquid eye liner stay on as long as the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner. When the price is right, the price is right, and for the quality, pigment, and similarity to Tattoo Liner, I give this hack a thumbs up!
  • E.L.F. Eyeliners
PRICE:$2-$5
E.L.F. tends to be one of my personal go to brands for anything beauty because of the affordability and range of selection! I love every eyeliner that I have used by them including, liquid, marker, gel, and pencil; to be honest I've used E.L.F. eyeliners since I started wearing makeup when I was 13 years old.

Thank you souls so much for tuning in to today's Dailey Dose, and don't forget to +1 so that you never miss a Dose! For all products and videos used for this post please see below!
